Trying to think up a topic for my latin america class is driving me crazy. Ergh. I don't know why I can't just think of something good. It's so hard. Gah.

Today I am going to a book sale. I hope it's a good one!

fire drills and elevators. ergh.

Fire drills annoy me. People all know how to file out of the building. We don't need a drill to tell us how to do it, and if we were too lazy or too stupid to figure it out, we would definitely want to get out of the building somehow because the alarm is so loud that there is no way anyone could stay in the building without their ear drums popping. Otherwise, I would stay. I've been here long enough to know it's probably not a real fire and no one checks door to door in order to find you and give you a fine. The only way you are going to be fined is if you are being loud in your room or roaming the halls for some odd reason when you are supposed to be outside.

The thing that bothers me about elevators is people that take the elevator up one freaking floor. This wouldn't get on my nerves so much except that 75% of the elevator rides I've taken this year so far, some lazy person has been on the elevator to get off at the first floor. They wait five minutes in front of the elevator to do so, and then cram in with all the people going to the 4th through 6th floors. Why, I ask? It's just unnecessary.

All in all, I just hate dorm life in general. It's my fault that I am here once again, so I guess I shouldn't be complaining, but I can't help it.

I have my internet all hooked up. People can IM me and whatnot all the time now. Now I don't have to go down to the computer lab for every little thing. Always a good thing. I hope everyone is having a good week end. Mine is alright, considering that everything around IUP is closed down for the week end, cause, you know, EVERYONE goes home for a three day week end. Note the sarcasm.

this is the book I am reading right now. so far it is a pretty good book of short stories, but the endings are all cliff hangers. still, I would recommend it. it's interesting.
